I Updated!
As promised, it’s June 1, and I have a new layout! It’s in honor of National Dairy Month and features some of my all-time favorite cows. Starting in the left-hand corner and going clockwise we have Brooke (pic made September 2002), Buttercup (April 1996), Bernie (October 1999), Posey (August 1995), and Dana (November 1995–on my sixteenth birthday to be exact). The quality of the pics could have been better. With the exceptions of Brooke and Bernie, all the pics were made with a cheap 35 mm camera. All the pics were scanned with a cheap scanner…. I messed with them the best I could, but there is a limit to the miracles that photoshop can work.
I did some changing around of sections. I dropped the fanart section since almost everything I had was Danny and Mary and is going over to my site for them. I had made some Beth and JJ stuff, but it’s on the fanlisting. I started work on the “Me” section. For now, I have a list of my favorite things and one of random facts. I want to add at least a short bio and a list of dislikes. I”ll probably come up with other stuff to add over time. Still nothing in the Links section or the Site section, but I’ll try to get started this weekend.
In other news, I finally finished that Photoshop book I’ve been reading for over two years… I think I’m going to go back through it though. I’ve forgotten the stuff I read at the beginning.
I went home home for Memorial Day weekend. I had a really nice time–got to see quite a few people, ate a lot of food, and spend time with my family. The airline did forget to put my suitcase on the plane in tiny podunk USA airport yesterday… It ultimately ended up leading to some not fun last night, but I got the suitcase today. It’s setting in my bedroom floor, still needing to be completely unpacked.
I’ve got some exciting stuff going on in lab. I got the greenlight to work on a gene construct–more like a modification to my current one–to make it easier to work with this summer in getting ready to make goats again in the fall. It’s going to rock. I’m going to be a teaching assistant for a lab class this summer, which I’m actually looking forward too, and I’m going to start doing tons of cell culture stuff (having to do with making the goats again this fall). Lots of stuff going on, but I’m definitely excited. I’m one of those people that the more stuff I have to do, the more stuff I can get done. I do my best work and most work under pressure.
Can’t really think of anything else at the moment…
