I don’t think I like this
It’s a few minutes shy of 10 o’clock at night. It’s 94 degress outside–which I think might be the coolest it’s been today. I’m ready for this heat wave to be over with already.

Hi guys!
I’d been meaning to actually write up a post about the new layout, but I suppose this works too.
I think I’ll save the blog entry to express my amazement at the fact that people aren’t watching Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip–hands down the best show I’ve seen in a very long time. I think it might have to do with the fact that you have to be smart and informed to get the show.. I just hope it finds an audience before it’s too late or that NBC will try to move it or something. I don’t want to see this show end up like American Dreams did. Of course, the true moral to the story is probably that I shouldn’t watch anything on NBC. Either it’s going to be that a great show that ends up getting cancelled (like AD) or they’re going to destroy it (like Las Vegas–which the writers have managed to totally ruin). ER is likely the only exception to this rule, but who knows what will happen.
Leign Ann and Veronica–thank you for the comments! I’m pretty happy with how the layout turned out. It has a nice fall-ish/Christmas-y feel to it–which is good since it’ll definitely be up all fall and through the Christmas season too. I got into TWW very late in the game, but Josh and Donna are just so awesome.
Veronica–the font I used for the sidebar section titles is called Jiffy. I’m guessing it came with a computer program or something since the only place I’ve seen it online is at linotype.
I’m doing pretty well. I finished up the pig feeding part of my pig feeding project back in September. I still have months of work ahead of me to analyze all the data and samples though. After I finished the pig feeding stuff, I took 2 1/2 weeks off and went home to Kentucky for a bit. I went to a cow show with my dad for part of it, hung out at home for about a week, then my mom, grandmother, and I went to New York to visit my sister. Then, I came back to CA and have been back home for almost a week. Other than that, nothing much is going on.
Ah–the new car. I’ve debated and gone back and forth over the getting a new car issue so many times. I am nearing the territory of it being the case that I need a new car rather than just wanting one. I’ve had the current car for 8 years, and it was 2 years old when I got it. It’s just getting worn out and is probably going to need some big repairs in the not-so-distant future–oil lines, thermostat, and it’s not picking up as well as it used to when I’m accelerating. Also, because I’ve been in college and grad school the whole time I’ve had the thing, it’s set out pretty much it’s whole life. The clear coat is starting to oxidize (badly on the roof), and other things are getting worn out on the exterior. My grad school salary is almost, but not quite enough, to comfortably afford a car payment right now. I could pull it off, but it would involve some major, major, major scrimping–whcih I’d rather not do because I don’t want to have to worry about money. I went thorugh a period of about a month/6 weeks where I had decided I was going to trade at Christmas time, but then I changed my mind about it. If I could/would get a car, it would be a Pontiac G6 Sedan with a V6 engine. My current car is a four cylinder, and it has never had the power that a V6 does. It’s not like I’m out speeding or racing–I just like to not have to struggle when passing people on the highway. On the otherhand, if I had all the money in the world to spend, I’d probably get a BMW convertible…
